Legacy of knowledge – from Mexico to US @ Online Event

You are invited to an interview with Dr. Isaac Raijman, our special guest to close the Spotlight- Mexico program.
Dr. Raijman is a nationally- and internationally-recognized physician, board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. We will present his story, from his native Mexico to today, his passion for education and continuous commitment to support arts and culture in Houston, Texas

Presented by Yolanda Velasquez and Dr. Randall Stenoien, President IHCH 2019 and 2018.

Reception: Bismark Alejandro Reyes Art Exhibition @ Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston

This exhibition highlights the work of a Mexican-American artist whose paintings are inspired by his life experiences connected to his ancestral roots mixed with iconic contemporary urban images.

About the artist:
Although the artist Reyes was born in Houston, Texas, he was raised in both Houston and San Nicolas de Los Garza, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Besides continuing his path as a Mexican-American, self-taught, multidisciplinary artist, he is studying Architecture at Prairie View A&M University.

Esta exposición destaca el trabajo del artista mexicano-americano cuya obra pictórica está inspirada en sus experiencias vitales conectadas a sus raíces ancestrales y un imaginario contemporáneo.

Sobre el Artista:
Si bien el artista Reyes nació en Houston, Texas, vivió tanto en Houston como en San Nicolás de Los Garza, Nuevo León, México. Además de continuar su camino como artista mexicano-estadounidense, autodidacta y multidisciplinario, actualmente estudia Arquitectura en la Universidad Prairie View A&M.

Únicamente se permite el ingreso de personas con reserva previa.

Visitas dentro del edificio deben usar mascarilla facial/cubrebocas.
Procedimiento de verificación de temperatura.
Mantenga un distanciamiento social adecuado en todo momento y tome precauciones.

Los invitamos a ser parte de nuestro segundo capítulo de Spotlight Spain. En esta ocasión compartiremos con ustedes sobre dos expresiones emblemáticas españolas; el arte Flamenco y el arte ecuestre.

Para ello tendremos como invitados a Pilar Andújar reconocida artista Flamenco, Bailaora, cantaora y performer, representante del arte Flamenco contemporáneo.

También nos acompañará Antonio Renilla con una hermosa exhibición del caballo de pura raza español.

We invite you to be part of our second chapter of Spotlight Spain. On this occasion we will share two Spanish emblematic art forms; Flamenco art and equestrian riding.

We will have Pilar Andújar as one of our guests, a renowned Flamenco artist, dancer, singer and performer. She is also an important representative of contemporary Flamenco art.

Antonio Renilla will also accompany us with a beautiful exhibition of a purebred Spanish horse.
