On behalf of the Institute of Hispanic Culture, Consulate General of Chile and Amigos de la Cultura Chilena, we have the honor to invite you to the concert Ricardo Parra in Houston.
Music performance event will held at Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston, 3315 Sul Ross St., this Thursday, April 4th, at 6:30 p.m.
The program including folk songs from South America and England (with original arrangements) and his own songs (in genres of jazz fusion and folk).

En nombre del Instituto de Cultura Hispana, el Consulado General de Chile y Amigos de la Cultura Chilena, tenemos el honor de invitarlo al concierto Ricardo Parra en Houston.
El evento musical se llevará a cabo en el Instituto de Cultura Hispana de Houston, 3315 Sul Ross St., este jueves 4 de abril, a las 6:30 p.m.

El programa incluye canciones populares de América del Sur e Inglaterra (con arreglos originales) y sus propias canciones (en géneros de fusión de jazz y folk).

Una mirada desde la ficción, pero con base en datos reales, sobre lo que ocurrió dentro del Palacio de la Moneda, en Santiago de Chile, el 11 de septiembre de 1973, durante esas últimas horas en la vida del presidente Salvador Allende, el día del golpe de estado que cambió la historia del país y de toda Latinoamérica.

Blu Internacional – Musical Duo

In 1992, Patricia Gras (USA/Argentina) and María Rimbau (Spain, Ecuador) founded Barandúa, a Latin folk and pop ban, with Carlos Gonzalez Rimbau, María’s brother, Luis Silva and Antonio Mazu both from Chile. Together they produced two CD’s, Barandúa Live and Our Songs. Later, Carlitos Gonzalez Blum (US/Spain) and Luis Montes de Oca (Méjico) replaced Luis and Antonio. In 2009, both María and Patricia were struck with breast cancer. To raise money for breast cancer survivors, the Barandúa band held a concert at the University of St. Thomas, Jones Hall to a full house. Following María’s treatment, they decided to become a duo, this time playing international music with the collaboration of sound engineer Mariela Massuh. They sing in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Russian, Arabic, and Portuguese. Blu International music duo performs at parties, weddings, concerts, and on ZOOM under quarantine!
