Wakolda
En el verano de 1960, en la desolada región de la Patagonia, un médico alemán (Alex Brendemühl) conoce a una familia argentina y se une a ellos para seguir la ruta del desierto en caravana. La familia hace renacer en él todas sus obsesiones por la pureza y la perfección. En especial Lilith, una niña casi adolescente con un cuerpo demasiado pequeño para su edad. La fascinación es mutua; en pleno despertar sexual, Lilith siente una inquietante atracción por el forastero. Sin conocer la verdadera identidad del alemán, al llegar a Bariloche, Enzo (Diego Peretti) y Eva (Natalia Oreiro) lo aceptan como primer huésped de su hostería, a orillas del lago Nahuel Huapi. Aunque el extraño personaje despierta en los anfitriones cierto recelo, poco a poco se verán seducidos por sus modales, su distinción, su saber científico y su dinero.

With the purpose of celebrating International Women’s Day, artists Annia Guillén, Hilda Rueda and Carolina Dalmas are bringing together the art exhibition Women, Essence & Origin that will run from March 6 to April 6, 2020.
The exhibition portrays women of all ages, races and walk of life by reflection on their essence as pillars of humanity. The artists present what constitutes an abstract or literal interpretation of women and their core values.
Various mediums are utilized. Annia, originally from Costa Rica, works with pigments on silk and oils. Hilda, a native of Colombia, uses acrylics and oils and paints from life models. Carolina Dalmas, from Argentina is using soft pastels on sandpaper.
Join us for the Opening Cocktail Reception, on Saturday March 7th, 5pm to 7:30pm with life music and hors d’oeuvres. In addition, 15% of the sales will be donated to Casa Argentina de Houston to help women in need.
At the Exhibition Closing Event on Saturday, April 4th, 2020, 5pm to 7:30 pm, a piece of art will be auctioned. All the proceeds will benefit Canopy- Elevating life above Cancer. These events are free and open to the general public.

Un recorrido por la historia del cine argentino. Se prestará atención a los protagonistas (directores, directoras, actores, actrices), los géneros, las películas que marcaron época, los personajes memorables y el reconocimiento internacional otorgado a este arte. Se considerará asimismo la relación entre este arte y la memoria colectiva, y el diálogo que el cine argentino establece con las producciones cinematográficas de otras latitudes.
