The Performing Arts Committee is responsible for organizing and planning major artistic events featuring world-renowned performers. Collaborating with the Society for the Performing Arts and similar organizations, the committee aims to elevate the community’s cultural prestige while fostering financial growth for the Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston.

Jhakees Napolitano

Jhakees Napolitano, originally from Venezuela and now based in Houston, is a bilingual executive (English/Spanish) with over 25 years of experience in banking, real estate, and media. A former Head of Business Banking, he transitioned to real estate as co-owner of RANGE Corp., applying his banking expertise to deliver tailored real estate and commercial lending solutions. Jhakees founded the first Spanish-speaking BNI chapter in the U.S. and serves as President (2023-2024) of the Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston. He is also a founding member of the Houston Latin American Philharmonic, reflecting his dedication to culture and community.

Yaneth Ibarra

Yaneth Ibarra is an accomplished accounting professional with over 15 years of experience. She holds accounting degrees from both Venezuela and Rhode Island College. Yaneth has a diverse background, having worked in the oil industry as well as with a nonprofit organization in Rhode Island. Fluent in both Spanish and English, her experience across different sectors has enhanced her communication skills and adaptability. In addition to her professional career, Yaneth is an entrepreneur and a devoted mother to her two children, Sofia and Sebastian. She enjoys reading and playing Padel in her free time.

Karely Peralta-Rioufol

Karely Peralta-Rioufol holds a Bachelor’s in Teaching Foreign Languages from the University of Puebla, Mexico, and two Master’s degrees: one in French from the University of Paris VIII and another in Spanish and Civilization Culture from the University of Salamanca. She joined St. Thomas High School as a Spanish teacher in August 2024. Fluent in French, Spanish, and Portuguese, Karely has taught in Mexico, France, Angola, Congo, Nigeria, and Malaysia. In Houston, she worked at the Awty International School, gaining experience in a multicultural environment. Passionate about community service, she has served in various roles, including Communication Committee Coordinator for the French Association in Kuala Lumpur and Secretary of the Latin Ladies Association. Currently, she is a member of the Kuala Lumpur Speaking Club, a volunteer at Casa María in Houston, and active in the French Association in Houston. She enjoys traveling, cultural exploration, and dancing as a member of a folk-dance group, celebrating Latin American traditions. Karely aims to inspire others through language and acts of kindness.
