Jorge Luis Chacín celebrated with us Hispanic Heritage Month
The Venezuelan musician and music producer Jorge Luis Chacín was our guest at the Miller Outdoor Theatre during our Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. The free concert was a total hit and tickets were all gone for the event.
The Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston (IHCH) organized a free concert with Venezuelan singer Jorge Luis Chacín at the Outdoor Miller Theater last Saturday night to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Latin Grammy-nominated musician played some of his hits, including “Tan Solo Quiero,” “Canta,” “En Su Casa,” and “Tú Naciste para Mi” for a raucous, dancing crowd of roughly 3,000 people, many of which proudly waving Venezuelan flags.
The IHCH thanked the support of its sponsors that made the event possible: AARP Houston, Alira Boutique Spa & Salon, Goya Foods and Univision Houston.
