On May 6, 20233 at Hess Tower, we hosted our Education Day, a signature event for the Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston. We had a full house with more than 90 guests, who learned how to correctly apply to our $5,000 scholarship, and listened to prior scholarship recipients.
The young attendees had the opportunity to do networking and learn about different topics like diversity and inclusion, mental health, the importance of extracurricular activities and more from a series of expert panelists who were carefully chosen for this event.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without Andrew Slentz, Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources at Hess Corporation, and Harold Olaya, Product Analysis and Design Principal for S&P Global, both members of the Education Committee at IHCH.
