“Días contados” (Borrowed Time)

by Oscar Martínez

Life skates by; our days are numbered.  Irony is the central pillar of this moving story told by Ana, a famous playwright. Días contados (Borrowed Time) is a play within another, without respite for the protagonists nor for the viewer. Ana recounts her days with an exquisite and caustic humor, aided by the characters with whom she conducts this exercise in understanding life: a dynamic and incisive mother, an inflexible psychiatrist brother and an ex-husband devoted to delivering “big” news.
